Knitting

Swedish Spring

As I have already mentioned, I have been going through a period of “knit all the things”. This pattern was on the top of my list, but I got distracted by all that is beautiful on Ravelry. I knew there was a KAL going on in the Stitched in Sweden group, but I didn´t think I´d be able to participate, just because I had the attention span of a two year old. Then I was gifted the Swedish Spring pattern by sweet Lena, and it drew me in. I started the shawl on May 27 and finished it by the end of the KAL, with 10 minutes to spare after pinning it up on the blocking mat! If you want to have a look at all the beautiful shawls from this KAL, take a look at #SpringLatticeKAL on Instagram!

I knitted the large version of the shawl. Maria was so kind to add another lace border chart for those of us that feel the need for bigger shawls. It´s knitted in Drops Alpaca in colorway 0517 on 4mm needles. It weighs 127g and it´s a nice and big shawl. I seem to have trouble deciding if it´s mine, or if it´s going in the gift box… The only thing I know for sure is that I´m knitting this pattern again! It was really nice and clear, the charts were easy to understand, and the only troubles I had was due to errors in my brain. (Next time I will make sure to NOT keep on making stitches when the chart clearly states that you should stop doing that…!)
